The Borromean gulf of Lake Maggiore counts 3 principal islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatori (fisherman‘s island); Isola Pescatori is the only property not belonging to the family Borromeo. Other properties of the family include: Castles of Cannero, the Castle of Angera, Parco Pallavicino and Parco Mottarone.
